On February 25, the 2nd Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Conference (UMEX2018) was held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of UAE. This event attracted 122 exhibitors from over 30 countries, including US General Atomics, Lockheed Martin, Italian Leonardo and Canadian L3, which showcased their unmanned aerial systems and products.
CATIC also brought its products to the exhibition, including the Wing Loong II, Yunying, AV500, A-HAWK and ASN301 anti-radiation UAVs.
On February 6, 2018, the Singapore Airshow took place in the Changi Exhibition Centre. The great potentiality in the Asian market led by China has attracted the global aviation community. As one of the biggest aviation fairs in Asia, the Singapore Airshows have caught the attention of both military and civil aviation from Asia and even the world. At this exhibition, 1,000 exhibitors from nearly 50 countries and regions including China participated at the exhibition. Senior government and military delegations as well as the global high enterprise executives will be also present there, seeking to establish partnership with others.
CATIC occupies over 200 square meters of space at this airshow. The 1:1 Wing Loong I and Wing Loong II UAV models are showcased in the Lion City, helping to support the New Year’s first appearance. During the exhibition, visitors will know about the Chinese made high quality aviation foreign trade products.
In the military aviation field, featured by 5 product families in terms of fighters, trainers, military helicopters, transporters and UAVs, the exhibits include the FC-1/JF-17 single seat and dual seat versions, L15 advanced trainers, Z-10ME attack helicopters, Y-9E military transporter, Wing Loong I, Wing Loong II as well as U650, of which the Wing Loong I and II all dimension models are in static display outside, presenting the medium altitude, long endurance and reconnaissance/strike features for multi-role UAV.
Besides, at the opening ceremony, the air forces from Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia as well as the Indonesian Jupiter Acrobatic Team also conducted their splendid flying displays with different types of airplanes.
